Sinn
Replica Watches
Sinn watches
came to be after Helmut Sinn was forced to give up flying
following the end of World War II. His love of speed led
him briefly to become involved with the auto racing world.
Thus it is that these watches are mostly directed at those
two segments of the customer base.
This incredibly
talented and ambitious man sold the company in 1994 for retirement.
After a few years however, the lure of the watch making world
called to him again and at age 88 he opened several new brands
which he continues to operate
Sinn is
a unique brand. It differs widely from many of the other
luxury brand watch companies.
First
it is a German brand and while there have been other German
brands they are certainly not as well known as Swiss, French
or even Italian brands. German watch makers are every bit
as knowledgeable regarding fine watch manufacturing but due
to the division of East and West Germany for many years all
East German made watches were considered by the government
to be one large company. This of course did not allow for
brand identification in the free world.
German
brands are often highly complex and are touted as being so.
While there are most definitely a large number of brands
that manufacture complex watches, German made watches, especially
Sinn, lean towards being aimed at that segment of the public
that are seeking technical excellence as opposed to stunning
good looks.
Sinn watches
are not advertised. This is by design and in some ways adds
to their exclusivity. The founder Helmut Sinn chose not to
advertise. He believed, quite correctly, that the nature
of the pieces would appeal to a specialized segment of the
society, those who sought the best in aviation and auto racing
time pieces. The watches are sold directly from the factory.
Sinn watches
are not sold in named collections as many watch are, instead
they are known by numbers. Favored by aviation and racing
enthusiasts around the world the brand is little known in
many circles but despite its differences is highly coveted.

- A Brief History
The story of the Sinn
watch company is really the story of one man and his unrelenting desire to
produce highly technical pilots watches. The company founder Helmut Sinn
is a legendary figure in Germany for both his flight exploits, his time pieces
and his unflagging energy and dedication to his craft.
A German pilot in WW II
Helmut Sinn was no longer permitted to fly due to the flight prohibition
at the end of the war. Thus he turned his focus to watches and in particular
pilots watches. While not as widely known as some brands the quality of the
watches he produced is not in doubt. Highly technical and of uncompromising
quality they have earned a reputation as some of the best chronographic watches
ever produced.
The company focused on
producing watches that performed under extremely conditions such as intense
heat or cold, underwater, high speed and high and low altitude and pressure.
Sinn also focused on making his time pieces user friendly and highly functional.
Sinn watches were sold
directly from the factory and were not advertised which may account for the
fact that they are not as well known to the public as brands such as Rolex,
Patek Philippe and others. None the less the business thrived as those who
sought the best in flight and chronographic watches became familiar with
the company and the quality product it produced.
For many years the company
continued to produce these fine time pieces. In 1994 at 78 years if age Sinn
sold the company with the thought of retiring. The brand is however still
under production and remains as popular as ever.
This was not the end of
Helmut Sinn’s career however in 1996 at the age of 80 he once again
began and new watch manufacturing endeavor. His new company is known as Jubilar
Uhren. His new company also produces watches under the brand names of Further
this amazing man continued to fly planes until age 85 and Chronosport and
Guinand.
This amazing man flew
planes until the age of 85 and is said to be still active in the watch industry
today at age 90.
For forty-two years, one
brand of watches has stood for uncompromising functionality and striking
aesthetics. Sinn. In 1961, Helmut Sinn began manufacturing pilot's watches
under his own name in Frankfurt-Rodelheim. He made exceptionally instrumentlike
wristwatches and board clocks of high functionality which fulfilled the demands
of pilots perfectly. High functionality, top-grade indestructible quality
and low costs got Sinn watches popular among the piloting fraternity. To
this day, these qualities remain the cornerstone of the Sinn brand. When
you buy a Sinn watch, you will experience the joy of tangible timekeeping
in addition to knowing you own a high-quality product crafted by German engineers
with unique details.
