Rado
Replica Watches
The company
known as Rado was initially founded in 1917 however did not
begin producing watches under the Rado name until 1957. Since
that time they have released several collections some of
which have met with great success.
Rado watches
are not for the traditionalist who generally prefers the
typical round, tonneau, square or rectangular watches with
classic looks. Instead Rado watches are sleek and sensual
with a modern look that appeals to the modern customer.
The materials
used in production are also non-traditional.. Modern materials
such as high-tech diamond, high-tech lanthanum, sapphire
crystal and high-tech ceramics are the norm with Rado. The
result is watches that are polished and sleekly beautiful.
The company
currently produces 15 collections and four specialized collections
including the famous DiaStar the world’s first scratchproof
watch and the futuristic looking V10K made with high-tech
diamond. Other collections worth noting are the eSenza, the
Ceramica and the diamond encrusted Royal Dream.
The Rado
philosophy is also somewhat unique. To them design is “an
outer expression of inner perfection”. The company
does not however consider itself as a producer of “design
watches” but rather a brand with an individualistic
design.
Rado markets
its watches world wide through fine jewelry stores worldwide.
There are however tentative plans to market their watches
in boutiques especially in the Far East where the brand has
experienced a substantial interest in its product.
Advertising
is accomplished by means of print and television as well
as posters. Their 2003 advertising campaign urges viewers
to “Think Different Shapes” “Think Different
Materials”. A fitting concept given that, Rado watches
are indeed different.
Rado is
also involved in the sport of tennis and acts as the official
time keeper at many prestigious tennis events. They are also
the main sponsor of the Fluid ArtCanal event in 2006.
Rado Replica Watches
- A Brief History
Rado was founded by a
pair of brothers named Schlup in 1917and was originally known as Schlup & Co.
For the first 40 years of its existence it was known mainly as a supplier
of movements to other watch manufacturers.
Located in Lengnau near
Biel, Switzerland the company is now in its 89th year. Its workforce numbers
over 300 in Switzerland and other countries.
Not a great deal is known
about the history of the company until 1957 when they first began releasing
watches that carried the brand name Rado. Five years later they released
the DiaStar a round faced watch that became an instant success due to its
scratchproof quality. The DiaStar remains a part of the Rado line to this
day. Since that time they have consistently released collections that have
an appeal to those seeking a watch with a modernistic approach.
Rado watches are known
for their use of unique materials. Their watches are also known for their
form which is in many ways a departure from the traditional form of other
watch companies. They are sleek and streamlined with a futuristic look. This
is especially so in the case of the The Original which features a domed face
that is far different from most traditional time pieces.
Perhaps the next best
known model produced by Rado is the V10K. This incredibly streamlined model
is known as “the hardest watch in the world” due to its high
tech diamond finish. This model has won numerous awards including two “Good
Design” awards in 2002 and 2005, a “reddot award in 2003 and
a “Design Plus” award in 2005.
Other collections include
the Anatom, the Blue Fascination, the Cerix and the Sintra. Every collection
is imbued with a purity of design that is certain to appeal to those who
want a quality time piece but prefers a modern style.
In 1983 Rado Watches became
a part of the SMH Group which has since been renamed The Swatch Group.
Rado watches are associated
with top quality timepieces made from the finest scratchproof materials in
the world and has succeeded over a short period in building up a distinctive
brand with successful worldwide distribution. The company was founded in
1917 in Switzerland, although it wasn't until the 1960's that the world's
first scratchproof watch was made under the name Rado DiaStar. In 1983, Rado
joined the elite SMH group, now known as the Swatch Group, the biggest watch
conglomerate in the world. Rado watches are unique in every way.
While other brands use
conventional materials like gold, brass or steel, Rado goes for materials
of the future such as hardmetal, sapphire crystal, high-tech ceramics, high-tech
lanthanum or high-tech diamond. And this is always in the endeavour to develop
design/material combinations that unite in perfect harmony the double functions
of the watch as a modern piece of jewelry and a functional timepiece. The
basis for this is provided by the mastery of highly developed leading technologies
for the manufacture and processing of the hardest materials in the world.
It has taken decades for
Rado to build up this know-how, which today constitutes the core expertise
of its material-technological developments.
