Franck
Muller Replica Watches
Franck Muller is a relative newcomer in the world of fine Swiss timepieces.
Having only been making watches since the late 1970s, Franck Muller does not
have the rich history that is typical of many other Swiss watchmakers. In light
of this fact, it is amazing to see the incredible amount of fame and recognition
that the brand has received.
Franck Muller watches combine technical sophistication and striking designs.
This solid combination has made the timepieces a hit among watch enthusiasts
all over the globe. Easily the most distinguishable feature on Franck Muller
watches is the use of large Arabic (normal, non-Roman) numbers on the watch
face. These signature numbers are not of equal size, creating a very unique
and interesting looking design. The shape of the numbers and font used for
the numbers flow beautifully with the face and watch case. The artistic design
of Franck Muller watches is truly world class.
The Franck Muller collection contains a variety of timepieces
to suit practically anyone’s taste. From the technically
astounding Troubillion to the fresh and funky Color Dreams
model with its multi-colored numeric markers and chaotically
beautiful face, the Franck Muller collection captures a cosmopolitan flair
that is simply unmatched. For those looking for technical beauty, consider
the fabulous Chronograph models. These stylish sports watches have working
chronographs that function both as calendar functions and a stopwatch.
A man or woman who wears Franck Muller has an incredible sense of style. These
luxurious timepieces subtly grab attention without being gaudy or overbearing.
Franck Muller is the timepiece of choice for chic and cosmopolitan individuals
who are not willing to compromise in form or quality.
Franck Muller
Replica Watches - A Brief History
The Franck Muller Company, named after the company’s founder, is relatively
young in the high end timepiece market. Mr. Muller was born in July 1958 to
an Italian mother and a Swiss father. From a very young age, it was apparent
that young Franck was extremely mechanically inclined. Franck spent his spare
time disassembling and reassembling watches, clocks, telephones, and any other
mechanical contraptions he could get his hands on. He had both an intense passion
and natural aptitude for all things mechanical, but particularly timepieces.
A true prodigy, young Franck Muller enrolled in the prestigious Ecole d’Horlogerie
de Geneve (Geneva School of Clock Making) at the age of 15.
While attending school, Franck Muller was highly praised and decorated for
his accomplishments. He graduated from the school with immense technical skills,
but found himself in mid-1970s timepiece market that saw electronic and quartz
watches dominating the industry. Demand for quality mechanical timepieces was
virtually nil. As such, Franck spent the beginning of his professional career
fixing and restoring old mechanical timepieces for collectors and enthusiasts.
Franck had the opportunity to work on a huge variety of timepieces, with each
building up his experience. Before long, Muller was recognized internationally
as an expert restorer of antique watches and clocks.
As Muller’s career developed, he not only furthered his repair skills,
but also took to designing some of his own timepieces and timepiece technologies.
By 1992 Muller had obtained 4 patents and 21 world premiers. Muller became
known for his highly complicated timepieces that attempted to fuse art and
science in a single elegant package. These luxury timepieces feature Franck
Muller’s signature large Arabic numbers and extremely sophisticated movements.
Today, Franck Muller represents timepieces that are complicated, striking,
beautiful, and above all, unique. Muller’s designs continue to impress
watch enthusiasts from all around the globe.
Upstart watchmaker Franck
Muller proclaims himself the "Master of Complications" and upon
examining several of his finest masterpieces, one quickly understands why
watch lovers around the world concur with this brash statement.
At a young age, Muller
had firmly accomplished his Geneva based company as one of the world''s most
prestigious and fashionable watch brands. Celebrities such as Elton John,
Demi Moore, and Robin Williams are often spotted wearing Franck Muller watches.
Muller mixes contemporary styling with state-of-the-art traditional Swiss
watchmaking. Unlike the CEOs of other watch houses, Muller is a watchmaker
himself and he designs every single movement himself, no matter how simple
or complicated.
Italian by birth, Muller
graduated from the highly prestigious Swiss watchmaking school Ecole Horolgerie
de Geneve in the early 1980s. From there, Muller obtained a job repairing
fine quality pocketwatches for museums and private individuals. It was during
this period that Muller came in contact with some of the finest, complicated
timepieces ever produced and was thus inspired to eventually produce his
own masterpieces.
In particular, Muller
grew fascinated with the tourbillon, soon building his own tourbillon wristwatch,
which found a new home immediately upon its completion. Keep in mind that
this was the late 1980s, when only a few companies such as Patek Phillipe
and Vacheron Constantin were still even capable of producing extremely complicated
watches. Muller continued to produce unique complicated watches for private
clients, but as his business continued to thrive, Muller sensed there existed
an untapped market for sporty contemporary watches with a mechanical artistry
to match their unsurpassed modern design. In 1992, the House of Franck Muller
was born and the watches were an immediate sensation in the U.S. and Europe.
Today, Muller continues
to produce a highly limited number of watches per year from the quaint farmhouse
that serves as both his headquarters and factory. Within the Franck Muller
collection, one can find everything from the Endurance, which is a simple
chronograph, to the Master Banker, a tonneau-shaped watch capable of multiple
time zone indication, to the Curvex Minute Repeater Tourbillon, whose production
is limited to a mere 25 pieces. Needless to say, Muller offers a very wide
range of watches, and at many different price points.
While he does not ignore
the movements, Muller has always known that the design cosmetics of a watch
are what first "grab the eye," and since the introduction of his
famed oversized Curvex Tonneau case Muller watches are instantly recognizable
on any wrist.
While the ultra-complicated
watches can be quite costly, there are at the same time a number of Franck
Muller watches which can be acquired for a surprisingly affordable price,
especially given the high quality involved. Thus, for watch lovers who want
to live on the cutting edge fashion-wise without sacrificing one iota of
mechanical hand-finishing, the Franck Muller watch is a perfect choice and
one that will continue to serve its owner faithfully, to say nothing of the
future generations to come.
