Lead by passion she founded BEDAT & C° in 1996 with her son Christian.

Christian
Bedat, the CEO of BEDAT & C°, was born in the industry.
He represents the spirit behind the company and for him: “the
biggest challenge is to create something extraordinary, yet that
will last”. His priority is to create elegant, refined,
timeless and prestigious watches capitilizing on traditional
shapes.

Motivated
by many years of experience, the creators founded BEDAT & C° in
1996 to suceed in the challenge of building a new name in the
luxury watchmaking establishment.
The essence of BEDAT & C° takes its origins from the early 20th century.
Capitalizing on it, Christian Bedat has created a contemporary classic.
A mix of tradition and innovation, BEDAT & C° watches (distinguished
by numbers) reflect timeless values.
Founded in
1996 by Simone Bedat with her son, Christian, Bedat & Co.
represents the creativity, heritage and understanding of two
veterans of the Swiss watch industry.
Drawing on
the origins of the 20th century and the drive to integrate a
new name into the watch industry, Bedat & Co. watches have
become contemporary classics. A mix of tradition and innovation,
Bedat & Co. watches, with their unique numerical collections,
reflect timeless values. Individually serialized and guaranteed
by Bedat & Co.’s own strict component and manufacture
criteria, every Bedat & Co. watch is a symbol of creativity,
luxury and the strictest Swiss manufacturing standards.
BEDAT & C° and
the GUCCI GROUP
Gucci concluded the strategic
alliance with BEDAT & C° in December 2000 by acquiring majority in
the business.
Domenico de Sole, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gucci Group N.V.,

Bedat produces impeccably
crafted Swiss timepieces with meticulous attention to detail and a profound

7 Series. Prices range from $1,300 to $7,800.
The spirit of
Swiss A.O.S.C.
BEDAT & Co has created
its own new quality label to guarantee the Swiss origin of all components
and their manufacture. This certificate meets the most stringent manufacturing
standards established by BEDAT & Co and forms an integral part of the
guarantee.
Each BEDAT & Co
watch is manufactured and checked in accordance with the A.O.S.C.
The 10 criteria of
A.O.S.C. are:
1. Each BEDAT & Co
watch is assembled in Switzerland with original swiss components.
2. Assembly and quality control are carried out wholly in Switzerland.
3. The movements are produced and assembled in Switzerland
4. The cases and bracelets are of Swiss origin. They are manufactured in the
Swiss and French Jura mountains.
5. The clasp, dial and hands are made in Switzerland.
6. The sapphire crystal is of Swiss origin.
7. Water resistance is tested to a minimum of 50 metres.
8. The watch is guaranteed for 5 years against any technical defects (battery,
crystals, straps are not covered by the guarantee).
9. Each BEDAT & Co watch carries an individual serial number which permits
its origin and authenticity to be established.
10. Only approved BEDAT & Co dealers are authorized to provide the BEDAT & Co
International Guarantee in accordance with BEDAT & Co instructions.
